DIY Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

If your already processing your own pumpkin, why not roast up the seeds for a salty snack intead of throwing them away.

Homemade Pumpkin Seeds

  • raw pumpkin seeds
  • about 2 Tbsp oil or melted butter
  • salt for sprinkling (regular table salt, season salt, or sea salt will all work great)
  1. Lightly coat the pumpkin seed with a small amount of oil or melted butter.
  2. Spread them out in a single layer on a cookie sheet or baking pan.
  3. Sprinkle with salt.
  4. Bake at 350 F for 15-30 minutes or until nicely browned and crispy.

  1. Yum! We did this with our pumpkin's seeds, and they are delicious! I had to bake them for 25 mins to get them crispy, but I guess that' the difference in ovens. My husband loves them!

  2. My husband loves them too! Thanks for posting how long it you to bake them. I do remember it taking longer sometimes and changed the time in the post. The last time I made these it was dry and our oven was already hot, so maybe it went quicker than usual, but I didn't want anyone to burn them so I put a shorter time.
